The “burning of Judas” (Quema de Judas) is a long runningtradition in Guanajuato cities on Easter Sunday. This year proved no exception in San Miguel de Allende! Witches, devils, brides, shop owners and politicians were represented – even a Donald Trump, carrying a double-sided sign reading, “No to the Wall” and “No to the Parking Meters.” Hundreds filled the central Jardin to watch and enjoy a good laugh.
